Amorphous alloy is long-range disordered structure solid alloy obtained by super rapidly solidified, when alloy in solidification the atoms have not enough time to ordered crystalline, there is no crystal alloy grain, no crystal boundary. This amorphous alloy with many unique properties, due to its excellent performance, simple process, since 1980s, it becomes important research and development in science worldwide.

After have a initial understanding with amorphous alloy, we look at a very promising application – amorphous transformers. Amorphous alloy steel core transformer is a new type of permeability magnetic material – the transformer produced by amorphous alloy steel core, it no-load loss (refer to the transformer secondary open, measured in the primary power loss) decreased about 75% than made by silicon steel core transformer, no-load current (refer to the transformer secondary open, the primary still have a certain current, this part of current is called as no-load current) decreased by about 80%, which is the ideal energy-saving power distribution transformers, especially suitable for rural power grid and place of developed and other low load factor.

Melting furnace using 200 ~ 2500Hz medium-frequency power supply to conduct induction heating, the power range of 20 ~ 2500Kw, while according to its characteristics can also be called as intermediate frequency furnace. Mainly used for precious metals such as gold, platinum, silver, copper, iron, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, aluminum and other metals smelting and for raising temperature, which is ideal equipment for university laboratory, research institutes, jewelry processing. Power using advanced IGBT parts, which is more integrated miniaturized, the effective output power can reach more than 90%, has feature of energy saving, more 60% than traditional thyristor medium frequency furnace.

Melting furnace structure introduction:

The entire melting furnace include: medium frequency power supply cabinet, compensation capacitor, furnace body(two) and water-cooled cables, reducer. Furnace body composed by furnace shell, induction coil, lining, tilting furnace gearbox four parts, while furnace shell is made of non-magnetic material, the induction coil is made by rectangular hollow tubular body into a spiral circle shape, when melting, inside the tube cooling by water through. Coil leads out copper bar to connect with cable, lining close to induction coil, made of quartz sand pushing and sintering, furnace body tilting by direct turning of tilting gearbox. Tilting furnace gearbox is secondary turbo speed gearbox system, with good self-locking performance, smooth rotation, and reliable emergency power off when furnace knock off, to avoid danger. Can conduct selection through 2 furnace body tilting furnace gearbox motor by means of selection switch furnace, with 4 core rubber wire switch box allows the operator to stand in a suitable position for tilting the furnace, and the reset through jog control.

At present, more than 3 tons melting furnace generally do not use this kind of structure. The tilting mainly adopts hydraulic, induction coil has several external uniform curved magnet yoke to prevent magnetic flux leakage. With this method, the furnace shell no need to use non-magnetic material, so the outside oven shell is not hot. By using of hydraulic tilting furnace, the tilting process is gentle and safe.
